Custom Aluminum Signs

Beautiful in both appearance and design, a custom aluminum sign is a wonderful addition to any space!

Aluminum is our favorite material to work with! It cuts like button on our fiber laser and it doesn’t corrode like steel. So once aluminum is powder coated it will look great for a very long time!

Benefits of Aluminum

1) Lightweight - it weighs 1/3rd the weight of steel and a normal sign that is 16sqft (4ft by 4ft) and multiple layers will weight less than 70lbs and can easily install with drywall anchors on any surface.

2) It doesn’t corrode - 5052 aluminum, our chosen type of aluminum, is considered Marine grade, and lasts even in areas of high salinity (near oceans)

3) It’s easily malleable but is strong - we’ve made curved signs or signs with shape to them and the aluminum is a dream to work with.

4) Uncoated aluminum can be strinkingly beautiful - check out our “brushed aluminum signs”

Most of our design is completed in Adobe Illustrator. Here we correct the lettering and make sure everything look just right. We attach “islands” which are the centers of letters or logos that would “drop out” if the perimeter shape was cut, and we ensure all the spacing is right. We also make sure everything is layered properly .

Once the “pretty side” of the design is completed, we drop our CAD files into Draftsight/AutoCAD to lay the hardware and figure out how the sign is going to be assembled for it’s particular use case.
