Correct installation of your sign is perhaps the most important step, and it’s one we make sure is done perfectly!
The installation location of your finished sign is part of the design process. The location of your sign impacts the installation hardware to be used and even the scale and material finishes.
Every sign we ship includes a custom set of directions based on your unique sign style and how it should best be mounted upon installation.

Professional Sign Installations
If a sign is to be displayed indoors, it will need either a:
French Cleat — for easy mounting and multi-point strength
Drywall Anchors and Stems — for individual pieces and lettering
For French Cleats
One half of the French Cleat pair is secured to the back of the sign, while the other half is mounted to the wall where the sign will hang. Pilot holes are leveled and drilled to ensure proper placement of the cleat. The wall cleat is then fastened using the provided screws and anchors. Finally, the wall cleat and the sign cleat interlock by sliding them together and lowering the sign into place.
For Individual Pieces or Lettering Signs
The sign components are mounted directly onto the wall using a paper template as a guide. The template is first hung on the wall and carefully leveled. Pilot holes are then drilled at the marked locations on the template. Next, all-thread stems are screwed into the back of the individual sign pieces, which are then pressed into the wall at the drilled locations.
For Exterior Signage
For larger-scale signs, a framework is usually included during fabrication to provide the necessary strength to withstand environmental elements. The specific installation hardware is selected based on the sign’s unique design, location, and the material of the surface it will be mounted on.
